I wrote my first story for Africa Media about a family on the Garden Route Game Lodge who chose to save two cheetahs from death on the reserve and raise the cheetahs themselves. It was a really cool story and our film interns made a video on it. It came out really nice and because of our efforts, two more stories are going to be written about the cheetahs and the impact they have made as ambassadors for their ever-declining populations.
Kim, the "mother" of the cheetahs, has also offered me the chance to come and see the cheetahs myself, so when Shannon gets here, we are both going to visit the reserve and spend the day with them. I'm really excited and look forward to seeing them. Kim was also nice enough to send over a couple pictures of the cheetahs when they were living inside the house with their children.
